FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Veres Rivne away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 20 game. The match ended in a draw – 1:1. Home side managed to equalize in a stoppage time from the penalty spot.
The game started with a delay due to the air raid alarm. After a dangerous attempt by Mrvaljevic early in the game Bushchan coped with, Kyivans did a real trouble for Veres. Kabayev found Voloshyn inside the box and Nazar hit the far corner – 1:0. Dynamo could increase the lead straight away, but Andriyevskyi hit the crossbar!
Voloshyn did well with a header, but Veres keeper Kohut saved. Dynamo crosses were quite dangerous, but home side did a good job in the air. Shaparenko missed from outside the penalty area.
Veres had a decent opportunity as Sharai attempted with a strike, but Mykhavko blocked it.
Early in the second half Karavayev attempted from distance, but that was inaccurate. Voloshyn had a good opportunity as he rushed into the box, but defender blocked his strike.
Halfway through the second half Veres took a number of corners, but didn’t succeed. Later Yanakov took a promising free kick, but missed.
The stoppage time became decisive. According to the referee, Benito fouled against Mrvaljevic inside the box and penalty was awarded. Mrvaljevic converted from the spot, so it’s 1:1.
On March 12, Dynamo will face FC Zoria Luhansk in the matchday 21 game.
