FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Vorskla Poltava away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 24 game.
Home side started quite aggressively by applying pressure in attacking half and opened the score quickly. In the 13th minute Kane found Stepaniuk with an accurate pass and the striker hit the target in a one-on-one situation.
Upon conceding the White-Blues started creating chances. Buialskyi attempted after pass from Syrota, but the ball went wide. Benito tried with a header after corner, but also missed.
Vorskla counted on counterattacks one of which could be a success. Seferi aimed at the far upper V, but Neshcheret saved spectacularly.
Eventually Kyivans equalized. Buialskyi passed to Vanat in front of the penalty area and Vladyslav sent the ball into the net from distance – 1:1.
Afterwards home side had opportunities to take the lead again. Kane obtained the ball in a very promising position inside the box, but Neshcheret parried his shot. Olliinyk didn’t manage to score with a back heel.
Shortly before the break Kabayev attempted from distance, but goalkeeper cleared. Right after the break Benito missed the goal from inside the penalty area.
Anyway, the Nigerian succeeded in a few minutes. Isenko reached the ball after cross by Tymchyk, but Benito sent it into the net with his second effort – 1:2.
Vanat could increase the lead, but keeper parried his shot from a tight angle. Vorskla responded with a chance for Pavliuk, who missed after corner.
In the 65th minute Benito rushed to the goal from the midfield, but then sent the ball over the bar.
Ten minutes before the time the game was interrupted because of air alert. It lasted over half an hour after which the match continued, but no more goals were scored, so it’s a comeback win for the White-Blues.
