Dynamo defender Vladyslav Dubinchak shared his emotions after the match against Kudrivka (3:2) in Round 30 of the Ukrainian Premier League.
— It was a difficult match. There was shelling during the night, so there was no chance to sleep properly. At the same time, Kudrivka were in the same situation. On top of that, we had to play in the heat at 1 p.m. It was a tough situation before the game, so it was not easy to prepare mentally.
— Did the early kickoff affect the course of the match?
— Of course. It was very hot outside, and just a few weeks ago the weather was cool. It is hard to adapt, and because of that it was difficult to play.
— Did Kudrivka surprise you with their goals in the first half?
— I would not say so. They were fighting to stay in the league, so they needed a result today. They were fired up and motivated, and in the first half it worked in their favor.
— Under certain circumstances Dynamo could have finished the championship with medals. Did you think about that?
— It did not depend on us. We had to win today, and we did that. We lost our chances a long time ago, so it would have been incorrect to hope for something in the final round.
— Dynamo finish the season with a triumph in the Ukrainian Cup and a victory in the final round of the UPL. Does such an ending leave more positive impressions of the season?
— You have to look for positives, but it is difficult because the season was a failure. At times, it was genuinely embarrassing because of the way our team played, because we cannot play like that. We need to prepare well during the summer training camp and next season show what we are truly capable of.
