FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Vladyslav Dubinchak has commented upon the away game against FC Veres Rivne (1:1):
- What are your impressions of the game? What happened in the final minutes?
- I saw there was a contact and knew that if they check VAR the penalty would be awarded. Of course it’s bitter to concede in final seconds and lose important points. But it is what it is, we’re moving on.
- Veres imposed a lot of scrimmage. Did this affect the final score?
- Yes, Veres use a lot of crosses. The game was tough. The first half and the start of the second one were good, but then probably we got focused on the score, moved back, let opponents put a lot of crosses and conceded.
- Veres didn’t just defend, but aimed to attack. Was this about the early opener?
- They have a decent team. They’ve got some loanees and signed a forward, who scored today. Everyone plays decent football these days.
- Were your worried about the final score?
- Usually we would have maintained possession and forced opponents to play in defensive half. But today we were the ones who moved back to secure the score. That was obvious. But we failed.
- Can anything still be changed in the league table?
- I hope so. As I’ve said, it’s very bitter to concede in final seconds. I hope that won’t ruin our plans.
