FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Volodymyr Shepelev has shared his impressions of the home game against FC Chornomorets Odesa (1:0):
- It’s a very important win as we couldn’t beat them for two games. Today we had to win and grab three points.
- Did you have special attitude to this game, considering your previous defeats against Chornomorets?
- Every game is crucial to us. As I’ve said, we were in vital mood as we lost previous games against Chornomorets.
- Unlike your previous game against Chornomorets, only one goal was scored today. Who’s changed – Chornomorets or Dynamo?
- Their football didn’t change a lot. They maintained possession while we used counterattacks and had a lot of scoring opportunities.
- Could you please tell about the goal you scored?
- Voloshyn put a good cross, goalkeeper didn’t cope with that, I was in that zone and netted the ball.
- Were you confident you would win despite being only one goal in front?
- We were. We could score two or three more, but had finishing issues. But what matters is that we’ve won and grabbed three points.
- Did coach praise the team?
- He did. He said we had proper focus. In terms of tactics, we did what we planned to.
- Has the atmosphere in the team improved after two wins in a row?
- Of course it has.
- Did you enjoy playing in front of supporters?
- It was great. We missed them. I hope the war will end soon and people will return to stadiums.
