On Friday, April 10, a Ukrainian U19 League match took place between Metalist 1925 Kharkiv and Dynamo Kyiv.
Before the game Dynamo’s youth team came onto the pitch wearing special T-shirts dedicated to the memory of former club head coach Mircea Lucescu.
This initiative was organized by the club as a sign of deep respect and gratitude to the legendary coach who left a significant mark on the history of Dynamo and Ukrainian football as a whole.
The host team, Metalist 1925, also joined the tribute, supporting the initiative and demonstrating unity and shared respect for Lucescu’s legacy.
This gesture became a symbol of appreciation for a man whose work, professionalism and dedication to football earned recognition far beyond Ukraine.
