After the game that was inscribed into euro cups history of our club with golden letters Valeriy Lobanovskyi was very laconic:
- It may seem that we’ve won the game easily, but that’s not true. Spanish media created intense atmosphere before the match. Some Barcelona representatives’ sayings were offensive. That’s why our performers didn’t need additional motivation. First of all we’ve outplayed Barcelona tactically. Secondly we played great individually. The game plan has been completely fulfilled.
Unfortunately three participants of that unforgettable victory have already passed away: Valeriy Lobanovskyi, Mykola Volosianko and Andriy Husin. Memory of them will live in our hearts forever!
