2011/2012 Champions League: dates and possible opponents

Dynamo Kyiv will commence their European campaign in the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round after finishing runners up in the Ukrainian Championship 2010/2011.

The White-Blues go into the 'non-champions path' along with Benfica (Portugal), Panathinaikos (Greece), Twente (Netherlands) and Standard Liege (Belgium). The list of our possible opponents includes:

Rubin (Kazan, Russia)
Zürich (Switzerland)
Odense (Denmark)
Trabzonspor (Trabzon, Turkey)
Timişoara (Romania)

The draw takes place on July 15. The first legs of the Third Qualifying Round ties are scheduled for July 26/27 with the second legs following on August 2/3.


If Dynamo are successful in the third qualifying round, they will then progress to a play-off stage. Should Benfica (Portugal) not make it through to the play-offs then Dynamo will also join the list of seeded teams.

The draw for the Play-Off Round will be held on August 5, with the ties taking place on August 16/17 and August 23/24.
