20 years ago, on December 7 1994 44,000 spectators, who were present at the Republican Stadium in the capital of Ukraine despite frost (five degrees below zero) witnessed a historical event.
In took place 38 minutes into FC Dynamo Kyiv Champions League group stage game against FC Bayern Munich. At that moment 18-year-old Andriy Shevchenko took the initiative and hit the target from distance.
That was Sheva’s first goal in euro cups. It was netted on December 7 and later Andriy surprised football world with lots of wonder-goals wearing the shirt with this number!
