Today the tendency is that youth international teams from different countries struggle for the trophy.
XV Valeriy Lobanovskyi memorial tournament will be on from May 29 till May 31. U-19 teams from Ukraine, Israel, Greece and Slovenia will participate.
Ukraine U-19 coach Olexandr Petrakov has called up 20 performers with 20 of them representing FC Dynamo Kyiv: Vladyslav Kucheruk, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Denys Popov, Serhiy Buletsa, Denys Yanakov and Heorhiy Tsytaishvili.
The opening ceremony will take place on May 29 at 10:00 at the monument to legendary Valeriy Lobanovskyi.
On May 29 Greece will face Slovenia at the Kolos Stadium in Boryspil (kick-off – 15:00) while Ukraine will oppose Israel at Dynamo Stadium at 18:00.
If Ukraine defeat Israel, bronze medal match will start on May 31 at 15:00 in Boryspil. The final will take place at 18:00 at Dynamo Stadium. If Ukraine lose against Israel, bronze match will take place at Dynamo Stadium at 18:00 while the final will start at 15:00 in Boryspil.
