31 years ago the White-Blues defeated Atletico Madrid and won the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup for the second time.
Kyivans won six games, lost one and played in a draw twice. Valeriy Lobanovskyi’s men scored 26 goals and conceded only eight.
Seven performers made nine appearances – Ihor Belanov, Oleh Blokhin, Vadym Yevtushenko, Anatoliy Demianenko, Vasyl Rats, Oleh Kuznetsov and Ivan Yaremchuk. Blokhin, Belanov and Zavarov scored five goals each.
Oleh Blokhin took the field both in 1975 and 1986 final and hit the target in each of them.
