- It’s a tough win. The goalless draw was a satisfactory outcome for Brugge, not for us, but we didn’t want to rush forward straight away, so we were patient.
- Dynamo were losing possession too often in the first half. Did you feel the pressure being at the bench?
- I did. Every mistake could result in conceded goal. As I’ve said, we were careful and nervous a bit. Maybe that’s why we were making mistakes. Still, occasionally we were switching from defense to attack pretty well.
- How come Dynamo started shooting only after Shaparenko took the field?
- Coach always says that players, who make substitute appearances, must enforce the team and increase the tempo to create chances.
- Sometimes Dynamo couldn’t cope with Brugge pressure…
- They played the same way in the first leg. I guess that’s their tactics. We needed more composure to get rid of the pressure.
- What was your recipe for success today?
- I guess it’s all about great dedication and team unity. Everyone really wanted to win, we supported each other.
- Would you like to face FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League?
- Sure, in the final (smiling). That would be great for us and for our country. We’ll see what happens, - told Karavayev Football 2 TV channel.
