- There were two different halves. We started pretty well and were mostly in possession, but then focused on defending. We lacked attacking aggression. After the break the situation changed. We applied pressure which resulted in the first goal. The second one was the result of good combination.
- Dynamo haven’t lost a single game at the training camp. Does it matter?
- Sure, even victories in friendlies give confidence. Although the final score wasn’t our priority, it’s easier to work when you succeed.
- Are you satisfied with the training camp?
- We’ve had no problems in terms of the training process. Some players had insignificant injuries, but that’s okay. Guys are approaching the season in fine fettle and with good ambitions. As for the lineup, we have no problems with the position of goalkeeper. Alibekov has done a good job and I think he’ll compete for the starting spot. We must admit we have problems with the position of left back as Pivaric is still with his national team and we haven’t seen Sidcley in action so far. In the midfield the competition is quite fierce. As for wingers, we have Verbic, Tsyhankov, Kalytvyntsev, Tsytaishvili. Shaparenko and Shepelev can play as second forward. Speaking about the position of striker, we’re working on its enforcement.
- What do you think of the newcomer Tche Tche?
- I’m satisfied with the way he reacts to our demands. He should work for attack a bit more, but so far it’s more important that he’s good with the ball and holds his position firmly.
- Which players, that were on trial, leave the team?
- There were only two – Papa Gueye and Maxym Dehtiariov. They both leave the team.
- Players often mention great friendly atmosphere in the team. What do you think about that? Are you satisfied with players’ attitude to work?
- If guys think the atmosphere is positive, how can I be dissatisfied? I’m glad the atmosphere at the training camp was great.
- Josip Pivaric will perform for Croatia in the World Cup final. When will he be back to Dynamo?
- First of all I wish Pivaric, Vida and the whole Croatian team victory. After the World Cup Pivaric will get 10-12 days off.
- What about Derlis Gonzalez?
- He’s in search of new club.
- How are you going to get ready for the Ukrainian Super Cup?
- On Monday we’ll gather at the training complex and start getting ready. On July 18 we’ll have presentation of new kit and training session at the NSC Olimpiyskyi.
