- Two weeks are already behind. Have you fulfilled your plans?
- There were some issues mostly related to weather. We had to miss two sessions on the field because of rain. We focused on fitness and strength exercises instead. Anyway, it was only the first part of our preparations for the season. We’re going back to Kyiv, where we’ll have twelve more days. We’ll work on tactics and attacks finishing. At this training camp we were mostly focused on possession.
- How do players feel after this training camp?
- As I’ve said, we mostly worked on fitness. This stage is over and now we start the new one. We’ll focus on speed and sprint quality.
- We can see new young faces on the lineup. Have Popov and Tsytaishvili got used to demands of the first team?
- We count on all players, who were at this training camp. I’ve talked to Denys Popov. In the national youth team they switch from defense to attack much simpler. We try to use short and medium passes. That’s what Denys should still work on. Speaking about tactics issues, he does pretty well when dispossessing opponents. But he needs experience. As for Tsytaishvili, he’s a creative player. We don’t forbid improvisation on the field. So, I’m satisfied with these performers.
- Viktor Tsyhankov has missed the major part of the training camp. How is he?
- Of course we lacked Viktor at the training camp. But I know Viktor. He needs 10-12 days to get ready for the season. I hope he’ll rejoin the team on July 17 when we continue working in Kyiv.
- Are you satisfied with the lineup at the moment?
- Of course we want to have competition in attacking line. For example Rusyn has some problems with his back. He’s not always 100% ready to work. So, we need enforcement.
- Many young players are on loan: Supriaha, Buletsa, Tymchyk, Smyrnyi. Maybe you’ll count on them in winter?
- Buletsa and Supriaha will have more game practice in Dnipro-1. They’re still young. It’s great they are champions of the world, but life goes on.
- What do you plan to do in Kyiv? Will you play any friendlies?
- We’ll have two sessions a day. On July 21 we’ll have two friendlies – against Obolon-Brovar and Kolos.
