Olexiy Mykhailychenko: “Everyone’s glad to be back to work”

On May 12 the White-Blues had the first ordinary session in almost two months.

- What are your first impressions? Have things got easier in terms of psychological pressure?

- Sure, we’ve had a very emotional session. Guys were glad to be together and to have ordinary training process. Everyone was very positive, but this is just the first step.

Basically the quarantine isn’t totally over yet. We must still be very careful. In Dynamo we take all safety measures very seriously.

- Do players feel tense considering the situation in the country and in the world?

- Everyone’s glad to be back to work. I have no doubt our players did individual work responsibly, but working as a team is different. We’ll work to restore connections that have probably been lost.

- In what way are you going to work next?

- We have a clear plan. This week we can start having two sessions a day, but that depends upon players’ shape. We’re also going to have friendlies against other teams, but that hasn’t been agreed upon yet.

- Dynamo players will probably have different levels of fitness. Is this the major problem?

- It’s a problem, but we can deal with it and we’ll work on that.

- These days there’re a lot of talks as for how and where the season should continue. What do you think of that?

- As a head coach, I’ll agree upon any decision. Probably it would have been better for us to finish the season in Kyiv, but other clubs can have different opinions. We must listen to each other and find common ground.
