After the end of the 2025/2026 season the coaching staff of Dynamo was strengthened by a new specialist — former head coach of Viktoriya (Sumy) Anatolii Bezsmertnyi. He became an assistant to Ihor Kostiuk and, after the appointment, commented on this event for Dynamo’s official website:
- Ihor Kostiuk called me and invited to work together. I thought it over and accepted the offer. Of course, it is very pleasant to join a club with such great ambitions and an outstanding history. This is a giant of Ukrainian football, there is really nothing more to add. Naturally, it is a huge responsibility.
First I coordinated everything with Serhii Bondarenko, the president of Viktoriya – the club where I worked previously. They let me go without any problems. I am very grateful to him; he said that he might not have let me leave for another club but for Dynamo – without any questions because he himself is a supporter of White-Blues. We have a very decent and good president, excellent players, wonderful people in the club. Everyone supported me and wished me success and good luck.
I am also very grateful to fans who worried about us and supported the team. I thanked all guys, all club employees. It is a great honor and a great responsibility for me to join Dynamo.
I have known Ihor Volodymyrovych for a long time. We talked, discussed what we want and how we see our future work. We have complete understanding, our views coincide. I am glad to help the team and the coaching staff achieve their goals. Closer to the start of the training camp we will discuss the work in more detail. Right now it is vacation time so there is no point in saying anything in advance, and later everything will become clearer.
After the vacation we will gather and begin working. This is a very serious offer so I thought everything through carefully, consulted with my family, friends and most importantly with the president of Viktoriya. After that I made the decision. For me the main thing is to be useful to the collective and to benefit the team.
