At the age of 27 he had to finish his career because of knee injury. Still before that happened he won the Soviet Top League four times (1966, 1967, 1968, 1971) and USSR Cup twice (1964, 1966) with the White-Blues. He scored the decider against FC Torpedo Moscow in 1966 national cup final (watch video).
