The White-Blues won four of those games and one more ended in a draw. Our opponents were FC Chornomorets Odesa (2:0), FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (2:1), FC Karpaty Lviv (3:0), FC Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk (6:0) and FC Zoria Luhansk (0:0).
To define the best player of the month we took into account marks Dynamo official site users gave performers after each match. The top three looks as follows.
3rd place – Junior MORAES (35 points).
Brazilian striker became Dynamo best player in July. In August he also performed brightly, but finished third in our ranking.
Moraes didn’t take part in the Ukrainian Cup match against FC Hirnyk-Sport the White-Blues won 6:0. He made four appearances in the starting lineup (337 minutes played) and scored two goals. Junior’s goal against Chornomorets he netted 89 minutes into the game was of great importance. He also hit the target as Kyivans defeated FC Karpaty Lviv.
2nd place. Vitorino ANTUNES (39,8 points)
This is the second time Portuguese left back is among Dynamo top three best players of the month.
In August Antunes took the field in every official fixture and wasn’t substituted a single time.
In away match against Hirnyk-Sport he scored fabulous goal.
1st place. Andriy YARMOLENKO (46 points)
Yarmolenko also took the field in every official game of the month. He’s the best striker of our team and leader according to “goal+assist” system (3+2) just like Moraes.
In August Yarmolenko netted five goals with two of them in the UPL and three – in the Ukrainian Cup.
The match in Komsomolsk was a true benefit night for him as he held his hand to each of six goals. Andriy scored a hat trick and performed three assists.
