Andriy YARMOLENKO: “If I take the field against Manchester City I'll do my best”

After the game the player shared his impressions and told about his conditions.

- Andriy, congratulations on the first appearance at the training camp! What do you feel?

- It’s great to return. I’m glad to feel game rhythm. First of all I want to thank people, who worked with me for two months – medical staff, physical trainers, recreation therapists etc. I hope this injury won’t bother me again.

- Do you still feel any discomfort?

- Doctors say I’ll still feel discomfort for about three months. Still what really matters is that I’m regaining confidence.

- Today you got angry after opponent kicked you from behind. Are you afraid for your health?

- I’m not. It just wasn’t nice of that player to kick me from behind. Actually there wasn’t much football today. The weather was really windy and rainy.

- Yesterday you had your first training session with the team. What are your emotions?

- Of course I know I’m far from my best conditions, so I don’t want to stop training. I’m a bit upset we have one training session a day. I guess I’ll work individually.

- Will you manage to get ready for the game against Manchester City FC properly?

- I’ll do my best and I’ll even work at night if that helps. If I take the field against ManchesterCity I’ll do whatever it takes to benefit the team. Still if coaches pick another player I won’t get offended.
