FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Anton Tsarenko has told about preparations for the new season.
- We started getting ready back in Kyiv, where we had two sessions a day. At first there were more physical exercises and less work with the ball. Then we arrived here for the training camp. Here we have more tactics and ball exercises.
- There’s a week left till the start of the season. Do you feel you’re ready?
- We’ve already played a few friendlies and I think we’re 70-80 per cent ready. We are to play two more games after which we’ll be completely ready for the season.
- You have a lot of theory classes these days. Do you focus on the Champions League qualifiers?
- Sure. We analyze both our games and Partizan. We’re getting ready responsibly.
- What are your impressions of friendlies Dynamo have played?
- We face really good teams at this training camp. It’s good as thus we can evaluate our level.
- You’re Dynamo leading goalscorer at this training camp what’s your secret?
- As you’ve probably noticed they try me as a winger. I just happen to be in the right place at the right time and use those chances.
- Dynamo will play the first game of the season in Lublin. What do you expect of this game?
- I hope a lot of fans will be there to support us. We’ll do our best to succeed.
- Who were you supporting in the Euro-2024 final?
- Those were two great teams. Personally I was supporting Spain.
- Who’s the best player and young player of this Euro in your opinion?
- I guess the best young player is Lamine Yamal who’s set so many records being 17. As for the best player, I think it’s Dani Olmo.
- Did you watch the Copa America final?
- No, I was asleep, but I’m glad Argentina won and Messi got the trophy.
