Ukraine U16 national team (players born in 2010 or later) suffered a narrow 3:4 defeat to Norway in their second friendly match during a training camp in Turkey.
The side coached by Volodymyr Samborskyi had previously lost 0:2 to Turkey and were again tested against strong opposition.
Ukraine conceded twice in the first half, putting themselves in a difficult position early on. However they responded well after the break, leveling the score at the start of the second half.
Despite the comeback Norway regained the lead and ultimately secured a 4:3 victory in an entertaining encounter.
Both representatives of FC Dynamo Kyiv were included in the starting lineup: Artur Martyniuk scored Ukraine’s first goal in the 46th minute and played 59 minutes while Danylo Dovhyi featured in the first half before being substituted at halftime.
Ukraine U16 will play their final match of the training camp against Morocco on Monday, March 30, with kick-off at 11:00.
