BATE hold Dynamo to 2-2 draw

Dynamo Kyiv and BATE Borisov fought out a tight 2-2 draw in the Matchday 1 clash of the UEFA Europa League group stage on Thursday.

The visitors led after just three minutes when Belarusian forward Vitali Rodionov collected the ball on the right flank, raced into the penalty area and fired into the far corner in one-on-one with Maksym Koval.

Dynamo supporters became even more frustrated when Artem Milveskyy failed to capitalise on a penalty kick ten minutes later.

Valeriy Gazzaev’s men eventually managed to turn things around and responded with two goals before the interval through Artem Milevskyy and Roman Eremenko. However, midfielder Pavel Nekhaychik forced an equalizer in the 54th minute to grab a point for the Belarusian team.
