On April 12, FC Dynamo Kyiv played a charitable Match for peace against Legia Warsaw at the Stadion Legii.
This was the first game of the tour aimed to raise funds to support Ukraine. All the money for tickets and donations will be used to deal with humanitarian issues that happened in Ukraine due to the war against russia.
Of course football isn’t above all in this situation as the major aim is to help. Still both sides demonstrated spectacular game and fans enjoyed it.
In the 3rd minute, Tsyhankov found Buialskyi with accurate pass and Vitaliy sent our team in front. Later Tsyhankov took a free kick and almost hit the upper V, but missed a bit. After that Legia could equalize, but Verbic hit the post!
Sydorchuk attempted from outside the box decently while Mladenovic hit the woodwork for the second time in this game.
It should be mentioned that the whole stadium supported Ukraine passionately throughout the match. Yellow-blue colors were everywhere.
By the way, Benjamin Verbic, who currently features for Legia on loan, played for Polish side in the first half and for Dynamo in the second.
Early in the second half Besedin had a good chance, but didn’t cope with goalkeeper while home side equalized. Strzalek obtained the ball inside the box and hit the target. Still, in a few minutes, Buialskyi created a good opportunity for Besedin and our forward sent the ball into the net.
Abu Hanna could equalize again, but Boiko coped with his strike. Meanwhile Dynamo used their chance more effectively. Shepelev found Besedin and Artem got a brace of goals to his name. Dynamo created more opportunities by the end of the game, but the score didn’t change any more – 3:1.
The funds raised in this match will be used to help people in need and refugees, who had to leave their homes as the war broke off.
