Bohdan Redushko: “We need to get through qualification successfully and play in the Europa League main stage”

Dynamo midfielder Bohdan Redushko spoke about his recovery, his mindset ahead of the training camp in Austria, and preparations for the new season.

– How are you feeling after your injury?

– I have recovered from the injury. I was completing my rehabilitation at the end of the season and continued working on it during the vacation, so now I am ready for the new season.

– The presentation of the new kit took place recently. What do you think of the equipment for the upcoming season?

– I really liked the home kit because it is made in a retro style. I have always liked designs that refer to the club’s history, especially considering that Dynamo will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year.

– What are your expectations for the training camp in Austria? The preparation period will be short, and the Europa League qualifiers begin very soon.

– There is only one objective — to reach the main stage of European competitions. We need to get through qualification successfully, and if everything goes well, play in the main stage. That is our primary goal. For me, it will be a new experience. Previously, I played only in the Conference League, so it will be interesting to experience this level. It is also important to prepare properly for the Ukrainian championship.

– Has the team already discussed the fact that Dynamo will be seeded in the first qualifying round, while stronger opponents may await in the later rounds?

– No, we have not talked about that yet. Today is only the first day after the vacation. Everyone has just gathered and seen each other again, so we have not reached those conversations yet.

– There will be some new teams in the Premier League next season, including Bukovyna, while Livyi Bereh returns. What do you think about these opponents?

– The fact that they were playing in the First League not long ago no longer matters. They are good teams, and we have faced them before. Chornomorets has also returned — a club with a great history. So it certainly will not be easy, but it will be interesting.

– How did you spend your vacation? Were you able to rest?

– We were sent an individual training program. I followed it, and in addition, I ran on my own, continued recovering from the injury, and tried to regain optimal condition as quickly as possible. It felt unusual that the vacation was so short this time, but it is not a problem.

– The World Cup has already started. Have you watched the opening matches? Do you plan to follow the tournament during the training camp?

– Yesterday I watched the opening match between Mexico and South Africa. In general, I will follow the tournament. Because many matches are played late at night, it will be difficult to watch them live during the training camp. But if matches start at nine or ten in the evening, I will definitely watch them.

– Who will you support? And who do you think will win the World Cup?

– I support Argentina, but I think England or Spain will become world champions.
