The forthcoming Champions League group stage matchday 4 fixture between reigning champions of England and Ukraine is one of them.
Kyiv side victory will make the situation quite tough for Chelsea, but if the Blues succeed they’ll regain pole position in our group.
Jose Mourinho – going through purgatory
Double or nothing – that’s what the situation for Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho is like. It took the Special One only several months to turn from the hero, who won the Premier League last season, into target of criticism.
- I don’t understand why so many people are so excited about the fact that someone can lose his job, - says one of the most successful coaches in modern football. – I don’t think about that at all. I care about results Chelsea demonstrate, but my post and future don’t bother me.
The Blues’ failures make Mourinho’s early discharge quite possible, but Jose still puts a brave face on sorry business.
- We looked quite worthily opposing Aston Villa (2:0). The game against Dynamo (0:0) wasn’t bad for us, but we didn’t have a right to lose, so this pressure influenced our play. The match against West Ham (1:2) was ambivalent. We played confidently only in the first half. Performing against StokeCity our team looked pretty well, but we were unlucky (1:1, 4:5 defeat on penalties). When we opposed Liverpool (1:3) it was a close match before the break, but in the second half several episodes became decisive.
At the moment we can only try to guess what Mourinho will say after the game against FC Dynamo Kyiv which can be vital for him…
Serhiy REBROV – to go through pressure test
The home match against Chelsea was a kind of test both for Dynamo players and head coach. Unexpected defeat against Shakhtar (0:3) could shatter the team while success could help the White-Blues regain confidence.
Fortunately final score (0:0) is reassuring. After the game Serhiy Rebrov stated:
- I think we looked worthily. Our team acted orderly and created chances. There were some mistakes, but we opposed the best English team.
Getting ready for the battle in London Serhiy Rebrov relies on his experience:
- I used to feature in Premier League and I know that if you don’t do your best on the field there things will be tough for you.
Answering the question about the approximate lineup for the forthcoming game Rebrov stated:
- We chose performers considering each opponent in particular. It’s all about competition and character.
It’s a simple and professional approach. The only thing left is to prove it’s effective on November 4 at StamfordBridge.
