Four Dynamo players called up to the Ukraine national team for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

The head coach of the Ukraine national team Serhiy Rebrov has announced the list of players called up to prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualification matches against France and Azerbaijan.

The main squad includes 25 players, among them four Dynamo players: defenders Taras Mykhavko and Oleksandr Tymchyk, midfielder Mykola Shaparenko and forward Vladyslav Vanat.

Notably, this is Taras Mykhavko’s first-ever call-up to the Ukraine national team.

Three more Dynamo players were named to the reserve list: midfielders Volodymyr Brazhko, Oleksandr Pikhalyonok and Nazar Voloshyn.

As a reminder, the first match against France will be a home game for Ukraine, played on September 5 in Wrocław, Poland, at the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław, with kickoff at 20:45 local time. The second match against Azerbaijan will take place on September 9 in Baku, at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium, starting at 19:00 local time.

Ukraine is competing in Group D along with Azerbaijan, Iceland, and France for a place in the 2026 World Cup. It's worth noting that the 2026 World Cup will be the first in history to feature 48 national teams in the final tournament.
