The visitors arrived to Dnipropetrovsk without their head coach Oleh Blokhin who was hospitalized after surgery to remove a blood clot from a carotid artery.
The nervy start of the White and Blues leaved to the early goal netted by Dnipro target man Seleznev in the 12-th minute.
The home side largely dominated in the first half and created several good opportunities to double their advantage.
Second half started with Dynamo attacks. The assistant coach Olexiy Mykhailychenko regrouped his troops that helped visitors to build confidence and gain the initiative. Unfortunately for Dynamo their top striker Brown Ideye was not able to convert into goal several of his attempts.
The game was settled with seven minutes to go when Matteus robbed Kyiv’s defender Khacheridi and curled the ball from the narrow angle into the Dynamo net.
Portuguese Miguel Veloso scored only the White and Blues consolation goal in the final seconds of the match.
