There were four FC Dynamo Kyiv performers in the home side starting lineup: goalkeeper Heorhiy Bushchan, defenders Illia Zabarnyi and Vitaliy Mykolenko, halfback Olexandr Karavayev.
Ukraine opened the score in the 80th minute, but later Mykolenko committed desperate foul inside the box, referee awarded penalty for visitors, sent Vitaliy off and Finland equalized – 1:1.
