Carlos Corrêa, who incurred an injury in this season’s last league game against Metalist, was initially expected to return to action before the 2008-09 campaign kicks off on July 15.
The 27-year-old midfielder underwent a surgery in his home country Brazil on May 25, with the scan revealing a fractured a fibula in his left leg. He is now going through a physiotherapy program with FC São Paulo, rehabilitation time estimated at four months and his return, thus, postponed until autumn. It was decided it would be a good thing for the Carlos to stay in Brazil, in a “more natural and usual atmosphere”, said Dynamo Director General Rezo Chokhonelidze, after visiting the Brazilian while on his trip to South America.
