Danylo Ohorodnik: «We always aim to play at maximum speed from the first to the last minute»

The Dynamo U19 defender shared his impressions after the victory over Kudrivka.

- The mood is great because we won the last match before the winter break in the championship. But we’ve only completed half the journey. Besides we still have the UEFA Youth League match which we must win to secure a place in the spring stage of European competition. The team is preparing for it in a very positive mood.

- Many players have been promoted to the first team so the squad has undergone some changes. Have you already established full understanding with Daniel Dekhtiar in the centre of defence?

- All players must be ready to come on and play in any position. Dekhtiar can play both centrally and on the left flank so there were no problems at all.

- You scored in your usual manner - with a header. Was the corner routine something you had worked on in training?

- Before the match we were instructed to attack specific zones. I ran into mine and scored my debut goal.

- How did you approach the second half leading 5:0?

- We always set ourselves to play at maximum speed from the first to the last minute.

- The team remains unbeaten this season. Are you satisfied with the first part of the campaign?

- There were few draws that we would have preferred to avoid. But it’s good that we finish the first half of the championship without a single defeat. We hope to show strong results in the second part of the season as well as in the UEFA Youth League.

- The away match against Hibernian is expected to draw 5-6 thousand supporters. What’s your mindset going into the final match of the year?

- The team is in a very good mood ahead of the match against Hibernian. We won today and we won the first leg in Poland. We hope Ukrainians will come to the stadium too so we’ll have our own support. We’re ready to fight, show that we are from Ukraine and that we’re ready to go further.

- How did the coaching change affect the training process?

- All players approached it professionally. We prepared well throughout the season, the team is very united so these changes didn’t affect us too much.
