FC Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Denys Boiko has told about his recovery and when he’ll be able to join the team.
- How do you feel, Denys?
- I’m great, thank you. The second stage of my recovery is under way. I’m glad to finally be with the team as I hadn’t seen the guys for three months after my surgery.
- How’s your recovery going?
- It’s going to the plan, gradually. About 5-7 days ago I started jogging. We’re getting ready for my return to the training process.
- When shall we see you training with the team?
- I guess in about 2-3 months.
- You had alternative options for reconditioning in Ukraine and in Europe, but decided to join the team. How so?
- I missed the team a lot. Long-term recovery is tough. You do similar stuff for 5-6 hours daily which is quite depressing. Still I understand it’s a vital part of recovery process. Every day I must do the best I can. But it’s much easier to do that when you’re with the team, first of all – mentally.
- Olexandr Shovkovskyi has joined Dynamo coaching staff. What do you think of that?
- First of all I’d like to congratulate him on the return to the club. He’s a true legend of Dynamo and Ukraine national team.
I think he’ll enforce the coaching staff as Olexandr is a young specialist, who’s learning and who wants to help Dynamo succeed. Thus I think this appointment will be beneficial for the team. He can share his experience and knowledge with us.
