- Denys, it’s well known that you are a big fishing fan. When does the fishing season start in Ukraine?
- I’m not very good at fishing. It’s just my hobby.
- But this hobby demands patience and tranquility. These are the qualities you lack on the pitch sometimes…
- Do you mean I should behave on the pitch like I do when I fish? I’ll try to.
- You’ve got injured playing against Chornomorets in Odessa. Will you be able to take the field against Shakhtar?
- I’m not sure. I have a hip adductor muscle sprain. I haven’t been training for two days.
- Don’t you think that the future game against Shakhtar won’t be very exciting as Donetsk side have a great breakaway?
- I don’t think so. All tickets have been sold out. As for the breakaway, I want to mention that Shakhtar have an 18 points leadership from the beginning of the season. Everyone knows teams which supply Donetsk side points…But despite that the future game will be of great interest. Our aim is to secure the Champions League spot and each point may be crucial for us.
- Which episodes of your previous games against Shakhtar were the most memorable?
- First of all I remember the last year's match at Donbass Arena as I was suspended. Referee’s weird decisions made it clear that we won’t get a single point in that game.
- Are you nervous before the game?
- Sure, I care about the outcome very much. Besides there will be a full house at the NSC Olimpiyskyi. We must please our fans.
- What can help Dynamo defeat Shakhtar?
- We can win due to dedication and good team speed. It’s also important to press Shakhtar on every inch of the pitch.
- Do you know that Yevhen Khacheridi has got a three-match suspension?
- That’s too much.
- What are Dynamo’s physical conditions like before the game against Shakhtar?
- They are okay. I hope nothing will prevent us from finishing second this season.
- How can you estimate your main opponents’ play?
- Dnipro played well before the winter break. Now something is wrong with the team. Metalist play more confidently. But, frankly speaking, I support Dnipro as I have many friends in this team.
- Who are the leaders of Dynamo at the moment?
- I think these are Husiev and Yarmolenko.
- Who is a kind of benchmark for you among Dynamo players of all times?
- Its Valentyn Byalkevich. He played as center halfback too.
- If you had a chance to make some ex-Dynamo players return to the team, who would that be?
- Roman Yeremenko, Cyrylo Petrov and Serhiy Rybalka.
- What about Zozulia?
- Let him play for Dnipro (laughing).
