FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Denys Popov was substituted in the first half of the UPL matchday 2 game against FC Veres Rivne (4:0).
Denys opened the score in the match, but was replaced by Illia Zabarnyi in the 34th minute. As it turned out after medical examination, Popov has suffered serious injury of anterior cruciate ligament.
According to Dynamo doctor Andriy Shmorhun, the player has already had surgery. It will take him about six months to recover.
