On Wednesday, June 18, Ukraine U21 played the decisive group D game at the Euro-2025 (U21) – against Netherlands.
Considering the situation in the table, draw would have been a satisfactory outcome for our team to qualify for playoffs.
Seven FC Dynamo Kyiv players were in Ukraine starting lineup – goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret, defenders Taras Mykhavko, Kostiantyn Vivcharenko, halfbacks Valentyn Rubchynskyi, Maksym Braharu, Nazar Voloshyn and forward Vladyslav Vanat. Kyivans Anton Tsarenko (on loan at Lechia) and Oleksandr Yatsyk (on loan at Zoria) took the field in the second half.
Ukraine lost 0:2 by conceding a goal in each half and thus tumbled out of the competition.
