FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the UPL matchday 16 game against FC Oleksandria (3:0).
- Four points in two games against Oleksandria – are you okay with that?
- Congrats to our fans on this win. We were getting ready for the previous match in really tough conditions. Of course one point is not what we expected, but the situation wasn’t really favorable. This time we had one day more to get ready which was beneficial for us. Yet late in the game was had to make some substitutions as players asked for that. There’s fatigues and we must take it into account.
So on one hand, we’re disappointed with one point away, but on the other – this game has proved that things would have been different if we were in the same situation as our opponent.
- Are you going to fight for the top 24 spot in the Europa League?
- We’ll aim to win in every game. The circumstances can be different, but Dynamo Kyiv will always aim to win.
- How is Shaparenko doing? Shall we see him on the field this year?
- He was ill and had some complications. We hope doctors will let him play, but we don’t want to risk his health. Anyway I really hope he’ll enforce us, just as Oleksandr Pikhalionok.
- Was the first goal something you practice?
- We practice a lot of aspects. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to fulfill a lot of that lately. We made certain adjustments and things worked out today. That’s the way in should be. Today we used our chances quite effectively. That’s what we lacked in the game against Kolos. Now we’re moving on.
