The Ukrainian Premier League has entered a three-week international break. Dynamo Kyiv went into the break in good spirits after defeating Zorya Luhansk 2:0 at home in their Round 7 league match.
After the game, the “White and Blues” coaching staff gave the players who did not join their national teams several days off. On Thursday, the team gathered at the club’s training base in Vita-Lytovska and began preparations for their upcoming matches.
Dynamo’s training day began with a session in the gym. Soon afterward, the players moved onto the football pitch. First, the “White and Blues” completed a warm-up focused on running exercises.
The team then worked on passing. The outfield players were divided into two groups, which worked on passing combinations simultaneously. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers followed their own programme under the supervision of coaches Mykhailo Fedunov and Taras Lutsenko.
Later, the team worked on improving their ball control. Two teams were tasked with keeping possession of the ball for as long as possible on a reduced-size pitch. Goalkeepers were added to both teams, while a neutral player was also on the pitch.
After the on-field exercises, the Dynamo players returned to the gym for a strength-training session.
As a reminder, Dynamo will fill the international break with a friendly match against Zorya, which will take place on September 28 at 12:00. Ihor Kostiuk’s side will play their next official match on October 11, when they host Karpaty Lviv in Round 8 of the UPL. Kick-off is at 15:30.
