The U10 team (players born in 2016) of the Academy of FC Dynamo Kyiv named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi respectably represented the club on the international stage, finishing fourth at the prestigious 11th Preliminary International Tournament A. Gianfranceschi & A. Gradizzi’s Memorial in Italy.
On the first day of competition “White-Blues” showed confident and high-scoring football, winning all four of their group-stage matches without conceding a single goal. This allowed Dynamo to advance to the Gold League from first place.
On the second day the team continued their strong performances with victories over Hellas Verona FC (3:0), Adelaide Elite (1:0) and Newcastle United FC (2:0), as well as an exciting 2:2 draw with Genoa CFC. Dynamo finished level on points with Genoa in the Gold League group with identical statistics but placed second due to the Fair Play criterion, according to the organizers’ decision.
In the final stage among teams that finished second in their Gold League groups Dynamo played two more matches: a 1:1 draw with Torino FC and a 1:0 victory over Sydney FC. As a result Dynamo topped this group and secured fourth place overall among 30 participating teams.
Notably, throughout the tournament, the team coached by Ihor Zharkov and Yurii Dmytrulin remained unbeaten, demonstrating a high level of play, character and consistency. This result marks an important step in the development of young players and highlights the quality of training at the Dynamo academy.
