On March 7–8 Dynamo Kyiv U10 had the honor of representing Ukraine at the prestigious international Houilles Cup tournament in Paris where 12 European academies competed. The importance of the event was highlighted by the composition of the Dynamo delegation: the team was accompanied by Oleksandr Ishchenko, Director of the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Football Academy, senior coach of the middle and younger age groups Mykola Rozdobudko and U10 head coach Ihor Zharkov.
Road to the Final Six
Our boys demonstrated football of the highest level and confidently advanced from the group stage in second place. The match results were as follows:
Dynamo – Sassuolo (Italy) – 0:0
Dynamo – Lyon (France) – 2:1
Dynamo – La Quatro Houilles (France) – 5:0
Dynamo – Paris Saint-Germain (France) – 0:1
Dynamo – Porto (Portugal) – 1:1
Elite Round and Final Placement
After reaching the top six teams in Europe at the tournament White-Blues faced Sporting Lisbon (0:1) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (0:2).
In a dramatic match for 5th place against Porto regular time ended 2:2 and the winner was decided in a penalty shootout (2:3).
Final result: an honorable 6th place among 12 leading European academies.

In addition to the intense matches organizers created a memorable experience for the children, including an unforgettable visit to Disneyland, a cultural tour of Paris landmarks and excellent tournament organization and hospitality
