Players of the Dynamo Kyiv Youth Football School named after Valerii Lobanovskyi in the U13 age group (players born in 2013) became winners of the prestigious international Riga Cup XXV tournament which took place in the capital of Latvia – Riga.
The competition featured 16 teams from six European countries. The young Dynamo side, coached by Denys Sytnyk, successfully progressed from the group stage all the way to the final winning gold medals.
In the semifinals “White-and-Blues” defeated their peers from Estonian club Nõmme United – 3:1, and in the final they overcame Latvia’s Riga with a 3:2 victory.
Dynamo players also received individual awards. The captain of the team, Maksym Proletarskyi, was named the tournament’s Best Player.
It is worth noting that Dynamo U12 (players born in 2014) also won the Riga Cup XXV in their respective age category.
