Dynamo U14 won the International Riga Cup Tournament

Players of the Dynamo Youth Football School named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi in the U14 age group (footballers born in 2012) became winners of the prestigious international Riga Cup tournament which took place in the Latvian capital - Riga.

The competition featured 16 teams from 10 countries: Ukraine, Great Britain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. The young Dynamo side, coached by Dmytro Maltsev, went all the way from the group stage to the final, winning the gold medals.

In semifinals “White-and-Blues” defeated their peers from the Latvian Riga FC Academy with a 2:0 scoreline. In the final they proved stronger than England’s Norwich City, claiming a hard-fought 4:3 victory.

During the award ceremony, in addition to the trophy and gold medals, Dynamo players also received an individual honor. Tymofii Naiduk was named the Best Defender of the Tournament.

This victory is the result of systematic work, strong character and high standards that the Dynamo Youth Football School named after V. Lobanovskyi maintains on a daily basis. It is also worth noting that Dynamo U12 (players born in 2014) and Dynamo U13 (players born in 2013) also won the tournament in their respective age categories, returning home with gold trophies as well.
