Dynamo U15 (players born in 2011) became winners of the prestigious international Riga Cup tournament which featured 16 teams from various European countries, including Latvia, Estonia, Portugal, Lithuania, Finland, Norway and others.
In the final match Dynamo players faced Ilves (Finland) and claimed a hard-fought victory in a penalty shootout (3:1). The fate of the gold medals was decided in a dramatic battle with Dynamo goalkeeper Litynskyi playing a key role at the decisive moment by saving the crucial penalty and helping the team secure the championship trophy.
Following the tournament Dynamo player Heorhii Malakanov was named the best player of the Riga Cup.
Notably this triumph marked the fourth consecutive Riga Cup victory for FC Dynamo Kyiv’s academy teams. Previously Dynamo U12, Dynamo U13 and Dynamo U14 all returned home with gold medals.
