Dynamo Kyiv’s youth team has entered the final stage of preparation for the UEFA Youth League match against Atlético Madrid.
During the final week before the game Pavlo Cherednichenko’s side has been working on a one-training-session-per-day schedule.
On Monday, two days before the clash with the Madrid team, young Dynamo players held a morning training session on the pitch. During the session a heavy downpour suddenly began but it did not affect “White-and-Blues’” training plan in any way.
After an intense warm-up and stretching players moved on to passing drills.
Next the team worked on finishing attacks. Both direct shots and finishing low crosses were practiced with plenty of work for goalkeepers as well.
This type of work - wing attacks and finishing - then continued with defensive pressure added.
To wrap up the session players were split into two teams and competed on half of the pitch.
Some players who began the training camp in Turkey with Dynamo’s senior team are also preparing with the U19 squad for the UEFA Youth League match.
On Tuesday Dynamo U19 will hold their final pre-match training session ahead of the game against Atlético. The Dynamo vs Atlético match will take place on February 4, with kick-off at 11:00 Kyiv time.
