Dynamo in Austria: hot training routine

FC Dynamo Kyiv keep getting ready for the new season in Austria. The White-Blues have played three friendlies within eight days.

The weather in the region of Carinthia is changeable. The last few days have been really hot. As Kyivans were having a training session on Tuesday morning, the temperature was reaching over 30 degrees above zero.

The session started quite unusually. Instead of traditional scamper and warm-up Mircea Lucescu suggested performers taking their positions and playing for a while without significant resistance.

Then game exercises were alternated with those aimed at dexterity, coordination and starting speed. Players were most excited by the mini-tournament in which only outfield performers took part using small goals instead of traditional ones. The peculiar feature of this competition was the absence of goalkeepers.

Goalkeepers, who practiced separately most of the time, got enough work later in the session as players practiced shots on target.

In the evening the team will have rest as on Wednesday morning the White-Blues will leave for Switzerland to play a friendly against BSC Young Boys.
