On Monday, January 22, FC Dynamo Kyiv started their training camp in Turkey.
Just like last year, this time the White-Blues are staying in Antalya. This year the youth team is working and living alongside the first squad.
Dynamo arrived in Antalya on Sunday evening after a day on the road. Thus the first major goal was to recondition.
On the first day, Olexandr Shovkovskyi’s men had two sessions on the field. By the way, it’s located at the territory of Kyiv side hotel.
The morning sessions started with a motivational speech from Olexandr Shovkovskyi, who announced the plans for the lasting winter training camp. The coach emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication of each player.
Then the team congratulated birthday boys – Olexandr Tymchyk, who had a birthday a few days ago, and Ruslan Neshcheret. Both got memorable jerseys.
The session itself began with intense warm-up. Players did stretching and running exercises. The major work was about possession practice.
Andriy Yarmolenko, who’s recovering from injury, was working on the field, but individually, with rehabilitation coach.
A group of players was also working separately on the first day. So far they get different exercise load.
In the morning, goalkeeper coach Mykhailo Mykhailov had three keepers to work with while in the afternoon – five. Heorhiy Bushchan and Viacheslav Surkis join the group.
The afternoon session was rich on game exercises. While keepers worked on their skills, outfield players practiced passing and possession.
Then there was an interesting exercise on a small field, but with big goals. Players were allowed to pass forward and shoot only with headers.
The team also practiced fast attacks in threes. It all finished off with a small competition for three teams which is traditional for training camps. The green team succeeded while Anton Tsarenko scored the decider.
On the second day of the training camp the team will have two sessions on the field as well.
