- There were two different halves today. In the first our guys did a good job opposing excellent skillful performers. We practically didn’t let them approach the goal and they had only one shot on target. We had two decent opportunities, but lacked the final pass. Besides, there were some promising counterattacks.
The second half started pretty well too, but then a mistake in the midfield resulted in goal. Besides I’ve checked the episode, when referee was supposed to award penalty for the foul against Verbic, but didn’t for some reason… After that Barcelona players used their speed and skills to create chances.
When we conceded after corner our guys practically gave up and didn’t believe they could get back into the game. I didn’t like that. When attacking we were leaving a lot of space behind. Anyway, one needs to realize how much money was payed for players that opposed us – above 400 million.
Now we are to fight for European spring and focus on UPL games remaining till winter break. I hope players, who had coronavirus, will recondition soon. Some of them aren’t ready for the Champions League yet.
