The White-Blues faced FC Metalurh Donetsk within the round of 32 and won the home match 3:2 while Chornomorets hammered FC Enerhia Mykolaiv away – 4:0.
In the round of 16 Dynamo flattened FC Shakhtar Sverdlovsk by four goals to nil. Roman Hryhorchuk’s men qualified for the next stage as their opponent FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk didn’t manage to arrive in Odesa.
Kyivans defeated FC Metalist Kharkiv within the quarterfinal – 3:2 and Chornomorets won against FC Ternopil by narrow margin – 1:0.
So Dynamo have already won three matches within the Ukrainian Cup this season with two of them away. Goal difference – 10:4.
Chornomorets had two fixtures against Ukrainian Second League teams and won both of them. Goal difference – 5:0.
This season the White-Blues Ukrainian Cup best strikers are Brown Ideye and Andriy Yarmolenko (pictured), who netted three goals each. Oleh Husiev has two goals to his name while Lukman Haruna and Dudu – one each.
Chornomorets top finisher is Anatoliy Didenko with two well-placed shots. Elis Bakaj hit the target once, just like Andriy Slinkin and Rinar Valeyev.
