The training session was quite unusual. This time more that 200 ultras attended it. Though the team mostly reconditioned every players’ move caused fans’ reaction. It was great for our performers to hear songs and chants supporting them, so they did their best.
Training session that lasted about an hour started with scamper. Then players had warm-up and played tennis-ball. Assistant coach Serhiy Fedorov joined them.
19 outfield players and two goalkeepers took part in the training session. Midfielder Niko Kranjcar worked individually as he has problems with heel tendon.
Goalkeeper Maxym Koval and defender Yevhen Makarenko were absent as they featured for the reserve team. Defenders Danilo Silva, Aleksandar Dragovic and Yevhen Khacheridi will miss the game against Chornomorets due to suspension. Still they took part in the training session. Halfback Younes Belhanda has recovered and started working too.
When the training session was over players and coaches approached fans and greeted each other. After that one of ultras leaders Andriy Korenevskyi took the floor. He told that fans always support the team not only in Kyiv, but at every away game. He also invited players to football competitions ultras constantly arrange and stated that at least episodic participation of the team in ultras’ life is very important. Andriy also asked the White-Blues to come up to fans after every game no matter what the final score is. Serhiy Rebrov thanked for support and promised his performers will always answer supporters’ requests. Eventually fans took photos and got autographs.
FC Dynamo Kyiv vice president Olexiy Semenenko has also laid emphasis on the importance of such meetings:
- As for me, these are meetings of likeminded people, partners and friends. Communicating with ultras players see that they are not hooligans, but normal reasonable people, their coevals they have much in common with. For ultras it’s also like water in a desert. They lacked contact with the team, but I guess this problem has been solved. That’s beneficial for Dynamo. It’s important to demonstrate UEFA that we constantly communicate with fans. They must know that we are able to cooperate with ultras. Such meetings will become more frequent. The next one will be for all supporters as we value each of them. I think we mustn’t struggle against fans. We must conduct a dialogue even when we have different points of view.
