- There isn’t much to say after such game and emotions. It was our last home match this season, so it was special. We wanted to demonstrate a real show and I think we have.
I told players three points weren’t the only thing I cared about today. I wanted to see spectacular football. I wanted to see how they attack and score. I made five substitutions and I wish I could make more as all players deserved to be on the field.
I want to keep this up in following games including the Cup final. We need to get ready for it responsibly. This season our priority was to create competition between players and we’ve succeeded.
I’d like to thank guys and congratulate them. It wasn’t easy for them to deal with me throughout these months as I put them under pressure, but that’s the way you achieve desired results.
If someone asks me what’s the difference between the team I took charge of on August 1 and the current one, I’d say players have learned to be winners. Of course there were other factors that helped them make a step forward. But these are same players we had eight months ago.
Talent is not as important as what you do at training sessions every day. Our guys were doing their best to be winners.
- You’ve already qualified for the Champions League group stage. Do you have any plans for the transfer campaign?
- The season isn’t over yet. We have few more weeks ahead and then we’ll see.
