- You made four substitutions after the first half. Was this a part of your plan?
- It was. The game against AZ was pretty exhausting, besides we’re in for following euro cups matches. I decided to let players feature for 45 minutes to keep them fit.
- This win wasn’t easy one. What went wrong, especially in the first half?
- First of all we had six new players which is a lot. Many of them missed the pre-season training camp. I had to give them game practice. Firstly, they didn’t do what they were supposed to on the field. Players, who made substitute appearances, acted correctly.
Unfortunately our laterals didn’t manage to use wing space in the first half. Kedziora and Mykolenko took these positions to help us attack. Mykolenko was doing it more often, but unfortunately he made some wrong decisions. In the second half our team played different football and we had scoring chances.
- Is Tsyhankov ready for the game against Gent?
- He’s done a good job. I asked him how he feels after the game. We’ll see what happens.
