The main attention, of course, is given to the preparation of the natural lawn of the main sports arena of the country to the game. Despite of the difficult weather conditions the stadium agronomical service managed to save a perfect pitch condition.
- We knew what weather would bring us, - Viktor Yaromenko, Head Agronomist of the NSC Olimpiyskiy says, - that is why a heavy fall of snow at the end of March was not a surprise for us. The pitch was prepared: it was processed with a help of special germicides to prevent diseases which can progress under snow. Two weeks before the aeration of the pitch was done and on the eve of snowstorm more intensive regime of pitch heating system was on.
According to the expert snow melted naturally within two days, drainage system worked out excellently. Herewith the temperature of the pitch surface was not below +2С, and it means natural process of vegetation was not stopped. Now the pitch is in a perfect condition and ready to host matches of the highest level.
There was no problem to get rid of snow from the roof. The arena tent membrane made of a special material (ethyltetrafluorothylene) cleaned itself thanks to the chemical composition and roof heating system, and melt water was excluded with the help of modern water evacuation in gravity-flowing and syphon regime.
Dynamo Football Club representatives also noted the readiness of the emerald pitch in particular and the stadium in general for the upcoming match during their scheduled visit to the arena taken place on the eve of the fight.
